Saline, Mich., July 1- Ashley Van Duzer, who had been ill for a long time, died 10 o'clock Monday night, aged about 40 years. He was born in Saline and will be greatly missed. So popular a man was he that he had held public office for years. The funeral will be held at the house at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon under the auspices of the K. O. T. M.

Mrs. Rachael P. Reynolds, a pioneer of this county died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. R. H. Marsh, in Lansing Sunday night, aged 80 years. She had resided in Saline from 1835 up to a year or two ago when she went to live with her daughter in Lansing. The remains were brought to Saline Monday afternoon for interment in the Saline Central Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Marsh accompanied them.

Floyd and Lulu Fairbanks are visiting in Ohio.

The Y. P. S. C. E. held their monthly meeting at the home of E. Hill.

Mrs. F. Weinmann has been visiting friends in St. Clair.

Major Boynton, of Port Huron, Congressional Candidate C. E. Townsend, of Jackson, and other well known men will be among the speakers on Baccabee Day here, July 31.

Mrs. J. Fitzgerald and daughter, Grace, are visiting friends in Lansing.

Thirty of the Masons went to Ypsilanti Friday night to confer the third degree and their team did good work. Refreshments and speeches followed.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Crittenden are visiting friends in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mrs. G. A. Lindenschmidt and son, Reuben, are in Cleveland, Ohio, for a few days.
