Milan, Mich., July 1.- A large number of the Milanites will attend the races at Ypsilanti Friday, the 4th.

Mrs. Kreuscher and son, Dale, left Tuesday morning for a two weeks' visit with Mr. and Mrs. W. Hathaway, in Detroit.

Mrs. K. Barnes is entertaining Miss K. Lamb, of Tecumseh, this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Rouse, of Lodi, spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse.

Mrs. George F. Minto and son and Mrs. Wilkerson and maid, of Vernon, Mich., left for Cass lake, near Pontiac, for a two months' outing Tuesday morning.

Mrs. J. Lockwood has returned from her visiting tour.

Mrs. G. R. Williams returned Friday afternoon from a four days' visit with her mother, Mrs. J. Sprague, at Ann Arbor.

The G. A. R. and W. R. C. will celebrate the 4th by indulging in a basket picnic in Hock's grove.

Mrs. Sunburg is ill at her home on Hurd street.

Mrs. A. O. Kelley is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. W. Seavery, at Fort Wayne, Ind., for a couple of weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Millage and daughter spent Sunday visiting friends in the country.

Mr. O. P. Newcomb 1s still seriously ill.

A game of ball was played on the Milan grounds Saturday between the first nine and the K. of P., both home teams, with a score of 23 to 3 in favor of first team.

Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Miller entertained guests from out of town the first of the week.

Mrs. Imogene Knight Salisburg, of Battle Creek, is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Knight.
