Whitmore Lake, July 23.- Chas. A. 3ray and "Vm. Frazier went to Detroit oday to attend the Elks' Carnival. Charles Todd and three children, from Lansing, are visiting liis parents. Mr. and Mrs. Alex ïodd. Tlie contingent of the Ann Ai-bor Y. W. C. A. at the Muinmery cottage are lehaving nicely, flshing industriougly and enjoying themselves hugely. The happiest man in town is Henry Stilson, the occasion being the arrlval n 8-pound girl. Dr. Swarts was alled, and all are doing well. Fred Prochnow and Thomas Coyle, joth Xorthfield farmers, were in town today and are as jolly as though they had the best of haying and harvesting weather. Jlr. Prochnow says it is imwsslble to use the binder the ground is so soft.
