Will Get Anything That He Wants
That Is What Judson Told Chelsea Republicans.
After Explaining In His Speech That He, Townsend and Alger Were Not In a Deal.
William Judson is blossoming out as a speech maker. It will be remembered that at the Jackson ratification meeting after Townsend's nomination was given to Washtenaw and the crowd demanded to hear from the congressman maker and would not desist until Judson made them a speech.
He repeated this performance at the Chelsea republican meeting Monday night, at which speeches were made by W. W. Wedemeyer and others. Wedemeyer's speech is said to have been a fine effort, one of his best. Judson also spoke. His speech is said to have been in substance: "There is no deal between me and Charlie Townsend. There is no deal between me and Alger. But if there is anything I want I'll get it."
