Milan, Mich., Oct. 21. -- Jack Frost put in some fine work in this vicinity Sunday night.

Willie Schmitt is once more on the list of civil service applicants.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hulburt, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Ransom Rouse, of Saline spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. Mrs. J. C. Rouse.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Wardle have gone to England, where they expect to visit relatives during the winter.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bowman are entertaining guests from out of town.

Mr. Joseph Gauntlett was brought home from Ypsilanti Friday seriously ill. It is hoped that he will soon recover.

Mrs. and Mrs. H. S. Knight are entertaining guests from out of town.

Miss Alma Sill is quite ill.

Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Minto gave an elegant party Friday evening in honor of Fred Steidler's return from Montana.

Dr. Mary Williams was out of town the first of the week on business.

Dr. and Mrs. Baldwin are entertaining guests from Monroe.

Morris Day is quite ill.

C. M. Fuller came up from Detroit over Sunday and spent the day with his family at Atty. and Mrs. G. R. Williams'.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Butler have returned to their home in Detroit.

R. Wilcox is having the lawn in front of his new residence nicely graded.

Webb Blackmer, who has been quite ill, is able to be out again.

T. W. Barnes is on the sick list.

Miss M. Murray has returned from her visit in Tecumseh.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Smith and daughters spend Sunday at Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Fuller's.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Dexter entertained friends Sunday.
