Decaying Weeds Slowly Filling Up Lake.

One of the Discoveries of Newly Organized Student Research Club.

Some odd and interesting things are being discovered by the newly organized students' original research club. The club is composed of graduate students, who study small scientific problems that have never before been investigated.

One of the members has been investigating Three-mile lake near Ann Arbor. He gave special attention to the weeds of the lake, discovering that the decayed were slowly but certainly filling the lake up. This odd conclusion was verified by a study of the swamps about Ann Arbor. They are all the beds of dried up lakes--dried by the enormous growth of weeds.

In the bacteriological department of the club some experiments are being made to enable the average citizen to readily detect formaldehyde in his morning's milk.
