State Street Paving Will Cost $32,000

STATE STREET PAVING WILL COST $32.000

This is About $6.000 Less Than First Estimated.

Saving is Made by Narrowing the Width of Pavement - Final Estimate on Monday.

Next Monday afternoon at the meeting of the Board of Public Works. City Engineer Groves will present the estimate for paving State street, together with those for building four culverts, two on Seventh street, one on Broadway and one on Miller avenue.

The original cost for the paving of State street would have been nearly $38,000, but the subsequent narrowing of the pavement has reduced the figure so that it will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $32,000. Engineer Groves said that it would not be more than $32,000 at any rate.

These figures will be submitted to the City Council Monday night.
