TWO WEDDINGS AT MILAN

Milan, Mich., Nov. 12.-Prof. and Mrs. Sooy drove to Ypsilanti Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. T. Barnes and son are visiting friends in Quincy.

Mrs. E. Blackmer spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tripp, in Detroit.

Dr. Mesic is attending his brother's wife, who is very ill, in Memphis.

Lutie Clark drove to Tecumseh Saturday to visit his sister, Mrs. Milton Crane, returning Sunday.

Mr. E. Hutton, of Detroit, called on Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse one day last week.

Mrs. Chas. Taylor and son Guy, of Toledo, visited Milan friends Sunday.

Mrs. Amy Edwards and daughter, of Willis, were in Milan Monday.

Allie Bissel and Alma McMullen visited the Milan high school Monday.

Married, at the home of Wm. Buxton, of York, Tuesday evening, Mrs. Alsindie Smith, of Milan, to Mr. L. Corwin, of Williamston, Rev. D. F. Denman officiating.

In a late examination in U. S. history, in the Milan school, was the question, "What colleges were in North America in 1760?"  One youth answered, "Cleary's Business College."

Mrs. Lucy Clark, Misses Clara Allen, Grace Debenham, Anna Brown, Ethel Ferman and Eva Palmer are delegates to the C. E. convention at Ann Arbor this week.

A very pretty home wedding occurred last week Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. Delaforce, of York, when their daughter, Allie, was united in marriage to Delbert Richards.  Rev. D. L. Barry, of Rochester, officiated.  The wedding march was played by Miss Agnes Smith, of Milan, and refreshments were served by the ten young ladies in Miss Delaforce's Sunday school class.  There were about seventy guests present and a number of very valuable presents were sent as well as the best wishes of their many friends in this vicinity.
