John Andres, after five months of awful suffering, died at his home, 509 Cedar street, Monday evening at 8 o'clock.

It will be remembered that Mr. Andres was kicked in the head by a vicious horse on June 17 and was so badly injured that his life was almost despaired of at the time. After receiving the best of surgical and medical attention at the University hospital for four weeks he was able to get about the house again, but has never been without pain for a moment since the accident.

On September 7, symptoms of creeping paralysis appeared and he has grown steadily worse until last night, when death relieved him from his sufferings.

Mr. Andres was 39 years of age and has carried on the ice business in partnership with his father for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, father, brother and three sisters.

The funeral was held for the home yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
