Miss Ella Blanche Fowler, of 815 E. Washington street, one of the most popular young women of the School of Music, died on Saturday of appendicitis, after a very short illness.

Miss Fowler came here with her parents from Tecumseh about a year ago and entered the School of Music. She was of a bright, happy disposition and won a great many friends during her short residence here.

The remains were taken to her old home in Tecumseh Sunday morning for interment.

J. S. Nixon, son of Nathan Nixon, of Ann Arbor town, died Sunday in Detroit, of typhoid pneumonia. He was formerly a conductor on the suburban line. The remains were brought here Monday afternoon on the 1:38 train and were interred in Forest Hill cemetery.

The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pardon, of Ann Arbor town, died of dyphtheria Sunday. A private funeral was held Monday. Another child died of the same disease lat week and two others now lie ill with it.

Mrs. Christina Schmid, widow of Frederick Schmid, died at her home, 542 W. Fifth street, Sunday, aged 31 years. The cause was pneumonia. The funeral was held Tuesday at 1:30 from the house and 2 o'clock from the church.
