CONDEMNING LAND FOR A PARK

The council decided Monday night that the condemnation of land for the botanical was necessary The motion by Ald. Hamilton, provided however, that proceedings should be discontinued if the regents did not enter into a contract with  Mayor Copeland that they would accept and perpetually maintain such a park. Mayor Copeland was authorlzed to make such a contract.
