The rise of George W. 'Millen in insurance circles is phenomenal.  Born In Ann Arbor some 38 years ago, he clerked tor some years in a dry goods store. then he ran a local fire Insurance business. He became Interested In life insurance with the New York Life Insurance Co. some ten years ago and after a number of promotions became their superintendent for Michigan with a very large salary. He has now been promoted to the inspector of agencies, with headquarters in Pittsburg.   He has entire charge of West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Maryland.

Mr. Millen is a member of the board of control of the Fellowcraft club, Detroit Comrnandery Knights Templar, Michigan Consistory and the Mystic Shrine. The New York Life Insurance Co. consider Mr. Millen one of their strongest men. The Ann Arbor friends of Mr. Millen, and they comprise all who known here, are glad to know of his continued business prosperity.
