Hartford, N. C., Jan. 22.- The jury in the Wilcox case yesterday afternoon brought in a verdict of murder in the second degree and fixing his punishment at thirty years in the penitentiary at hard labor. Wilcox was charged with the murder of Nellie Cropsey and had been tried once before, but the jury disagreed.
