A PLAYING CARD TIME PIECE

A clock with a face of playing cards is the latest invention of Bert W. Bachtel and Howard B. Keeney, of Flint. The two engineer stu- in the Argus. The two engineer students have invented a big timepiece with a dial over a foot in diameter. The hours on the clock are designated by common playing cards, commencing with the ace for 1 o'clock, then the deuce for 2 o'clock and then on up to 11 o'clock, which is marked by the jack. The queen stands for 12. The hands are so large that electricity is required to run the clock. The apparatus is connected with an electric motor, and is so regulated that the time piece keeps excellent time. The invention is as large as most town clocks.
