Case Thrown Out of Court. - Judge Stone of Ithaca threw the burglary case of Clinton Nelson out of court claiming it was not in his jurisdiction. The burglary was committed at Jasper, Midland county.

Fatally Hurt by the Cars. - William Cavanaugh, a milder, was struck by a Michigan Central passenger train at Battle Creek last night and his skull crushed. He will probably die. He was intoxicated.

Salt Inspection For January. - The total amount of salt inspected in January was 121,701 barrels, the figures by counties being: Saginaw, 17,379; Bay, 11,954; Ct. Clair, 36,539; Manistee, 11,482; Mason, 8,180; Wayne, 36,107.

Fatal Accident at Monroe. - John Kansier, employed in the Deinzer furniture factory at Monroe, was caught in a flywheel Wednesday morning and fatally injured. At the time of the accident he was adjusting the belt.

Students Must be Vaccinated. - On account of the one case of smallpox in Albion, the local board of health has passed a resolution and posted notices about town to the effect that all students of both colleges and high school must be vaccinated.

Woman Sues Saloonkeeper. - Mrs. Sarah A. Ashcraft filed suit in circuit court at St. Joseph against Timothy Talbot, a saloonkeeper, charging him with having ruined her husband in health and financially by selling him liquor after having been warned not to by her.
