Gen. Sierra Routed

Rebels of Honduras Are Fast Gaining Ground.

Panama, April 9.- A dispatch from Honduras received via San Salvador announces that Gen. Sierra abandoned Nicaome and it is believed he will flee to Salvador. The town of Coray has also been captured by the forces of Gen. Bonilla, and only the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa, now remains in tie power of President Arias.

Gen. Sierra, on the conclusion of his term as president of Honduras, prevented the installment of Gen. Bonila, who was elected president in his stead, and had Gen. Juan Angel Arias, his private secretary, elected president of Honduras, and he himself appointed commander-in-chief of the army with extraordinary powers, which office was created for him. Gen. Bonilla thereupon hoisted the standard of rebellion, and in the subseuent struggles in the field against Gen. Sierra he has been almost uniformly successful.
