It Was Blood On The Hat

But It Was Very Little With Much Logwood

Meuth Reports Seeing Patterson in Detroit the Night after His Disappearance

--------------------------------

Patterson has not yet returned.

It develops, after all, that there was some blood on his hat. The first analysis that was given out was made by a student who reported only logwood stains. Dr. Vaughn's own analysis showed blood and logwood stains. The quantity of blood was very small.

Henry Mueth reported seeing Patterson in Detroit Thursday night. He was with a couple of girls and went into a saloon. Meuth says he knew Patterson while he was here.

The officers are not searching for Patterson, as he has committed no offense to their knowledge.
