John G. Steeb Dies Suddenly
John George Steeb, an honored and well known resident of Lodi, died Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Mr. Steeb was quite advanced in years, being 71, but was enjoying good health. He had Iaid down on the coach to take a nap, but on being called he did not waken. On going to him it was found he had expired. The physician who was called pronounced it apoplexy.
Mr. Steeb was well known both in Ann Arbor and the surrounding county. He has been a resident of this county all his life. Three daughters- Mrs. J. Fred Staebler and Mrs. Robert Armbruster, of this city, and Mrs. Emanuel Aprill, of Scio- and seven sons - George, John, Christian, Jacob, Fred, Charles and Edward ---survive him.
The funeral services were held Thursday at 12 o'clock at the late residence of Mr. Steeb, the remains will then be brought to Ann Arbor and another service will be held at 1:30 o'clock at the Zion Lutheran church. The interment will be made at Forest Hill cemetery.
