Mrs. Whiting In A Runaway
Mrs. Mary Whiting was thrown from a buggy between the hours of 12 and 1 Wednesday and seriously injured. She was riding with a farmer. They came into the city on State street and came up Packard to Fifth avenue, when the horse became frightened at an approaching D., Y., A. A. & J. car, it is supposed, and shying tipped the carriage over. The occupants were thrown violently to the ground. Mrs. Whiting was badly bruised, but it is thought no bones were broked. She was taken in a carriage to her home. The horse broke away from the buggy and ran out state street into the country.
