Nebraska dairy farmers are said to be working a revolution in the handling of the products of their cows. Instead of hauling the milk to the creamery and then having the cream removed and then rehauling the remainder of the milk back to their farms, they separate the cream at their farms and feed the milk while still warm with its natural animal heat to the calves and hogs. This saves many trips to the creamery. This plan revolutionizes the hitherto adopted plan of marketing butter fat and is said to largely increase the profit of the dairy herd. Under the working of this plan cows are said to return from $35 to $45 from the cream alone. Those farmers who have tried it believe the plan is destined to revolutionize the method of disposing of milk and butter throughout the country.
