Receipt for $200 Filed

 

Settlement in Full for Claims for Alleged Selling of Liquor to Charles Schroeder

 

A certified copy of a receipt was filed Friday afternoon indicating that the suit of Ella M. Schroeder against Ernest T. Paul, the saloonkeeper charged with selling liquor to her son, Charles Schroeder, has been settled. The receipt is as follows:

 

"State of Michigan, Circuit Court for the county of Washtenaw; Ella M. Schroeder vs. Ernest T. Paul, Gottleib Andress and John Berger.

 

"Received of Ernest T. Paul the sum of Two Hundred dollars ($200) in payment in full and in full of settlement of any and all demands and in full settlement of all damage of every kind, nature and description that I may have suffered or that my said husband may have suffered by virtue of the alleged fact that the said Ernest T. Paul sold liquor to my son, Chas. Schroeder, on the first day of May, 1903, or at any other time, either before or since and in full settlement and satisfaction of all actions or causes of action and in full settlement of all suits that the said parents of the said Charles Schroeder may or might have against the said Ernest T. Paul and the other defendants above named by virtue of the fact that they were signers of the said Paul's bond and in full settlement of the above entitled cause, including an action that the parents of the said Charles Schroeder may or might have against the said Ernest T. Paul."
