No more telephone poles wanted on the campus. The old ones have served their time, the old wires will be pulled down, and a new pole line will be run between the two hospitals, the Homeopathic and the Regular.

Thirteen poles are already set for it, and the line will run across the swell and down the hill, on a direct line, regardless of anybody's property. But most of it belongs to the university, so there's no fight.

This will change the line of poles from off Ann street in front of the old hospital, to Thirteenth street, and behind the boiler house. The tunnel is being cleared out and made ready for the wiring. Cleet work will be used all the way from the Homeopathic Hospital through the tunnel to the boiler house, after which the pole line will be used. The material has all been ordered for the completion of the work, which began last Monday, but the men were laid off Thursday until more material should arrive.
