Willis, Mich., Oct. 22.
Milo Smith and wife have been making a visit to Temperance, Mich.
Walter Binier, while riding, saw two large hawks in a field. He went to a near-by house and got a gun and shot both hawks with one shot. One was 4 ft. long from the tip of the wing to the other tip. The other was 4 ft. 4 in. long from tip to tip.
Phil Peppiatt while butchering last Tuesday night, cut one of his thumbs very badly.
James Wilson, the mail carrier, after coming home Tuesday drove to New Boston and brought home a horse for Uncle Sam's work.
The trustee meeting for the year 1903 was held last Tuesday night.
Mrs. McGrath, of Ypsilanti, is spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dawson.
Harry Snodgrass and wife are the proud parents of a little girl, born Wednesday, Oct. 22. We wonder if she is going to help in the store some day.
Andrew Fisher has bought the Greenman property in Willis, and Mr. Fisher intends being a retired farmer very soon.
Wm. A. Russell is having a cement walk put down in front of his property here in Willis. Let the good work go on until our main thoroughfare has walks the entire length.
Ella A., wife of Arthur V. Jones, died at their home at 8:30 Saturday evening after four weeks' sickness from typhoid fever, aged 43 years. Funeral was held from the residence at 11 a. m. Tuesday. The deceased leaves a husband, one son and one daughter, who have the sympathy of the entire community.
