GENERAL PUBLIC CORDIALLY INVITED

To Attend Sessions of Michigan State Teachers' Ass'n.

MATTERS OF INTEREST

To the Public, as Well as Teachers, Will be Discussed--Several Lectures of Interest

The local committee on arrangements for the session of Dec. 29-31 of the State Teachers' association, met in Tappan hall yesterday afternoon and perfected its plans. All indications point to the largest attendance in the history of the association. While the sessions are primarily for teachers, the program is of such a general character and the community is vitally interested in its schools that everyone who cann possibly do so should attend some of the meetings. Any person may become a member of the association by payment of the membership fee, one dollar for gentlemen, half a dollar for ladies. The membership badge will admit its owner to all meetings, including the reception to be given on Tuesday evening. Some of the attractions of interest to the general public are two lectures, with stereopticon illustrations, by Col. French and an address by Mrs. Carrie Chapman Catt. Col. French will speak on India on Tuesday afternoon and on Alaska on Wednesday evening. Mrs. Catt's subject will be "Is It the Parting of the Ways?" She will speak Wednesday evening at 7:00.

All general meetings of the association will be held in University hall.
