CRESCENT WORKS DOUBLE CAPACITY

The Crescent Works have just completed a deal which will enable them to at least double their manufactured output and the force employed as well. This deal was the purchase of the plant and business of Blackburn & Pungs, skirt manufacturers of Detroit, and the plant and stock has been moved to this city and added to their already large plant. The plant was moved here Tuesday and the force are busy adjusting things to the new conditions.

The remains of Mrs. Harriet Eastwood were brought here yesterday on the 3.28 M. C. train from Big Rapids for burial. The remains were accompanied by a niece, Mrs. Ida May Markham. For many years Mrs. Eastwood was a resident of Ann Arbor, and member of the First Baptist church. Her son, Prof. John Eastwood, is now making Ann Arbor his home and is doing research work in germs. He has a private laboratory in the new medical building.
