CHARLES T. SILL DIED SUDDENLY

Milan, Mich., Dec. 11.--The news of the sudden death of Charles T. Sill, who was a retired hardware merchant and a respected resident of this place, came as a great shock to the people of Milan this morning. Last evening, while attending to his chores, he complained of not feeling well, and about 6 o'clock he suffered a stroke of paralysis, from which he could not be rallied, although medical aid was summoned at once and all possible done for him.

Mr. Sill was born near Dexter in 1837, having been brought up on a farm. His wife's maiden name was Mary Reeves, who resided near this place. She is a sister of Wm. C. Reeves, a prominent business man. Mr. Sill removed to Wyandotte, where he was engaged in the hardware business for a number of years. Some time later he removed to Detroit. While living in Detroit one of their daughters died.

Ten years ago he removed to Milan, where he opened up a hardware store with his son, Homer C. Sill, as junior partner under the firm name of C. T. Sill & Son. A few years ago his son bought him out and Mr. Sill retired, his health being very bad.

His wife and two children, Miss Alma Sill and Homer C. Sill, both of this place, are left to mourn his loss.

He belonged to the Masonic order at Wyandotte.

The funeral will be held from the residence on Main street Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be conducted by the Milan lodge of Masons. Interment will be in Marble Park cemetery.
