VERDICT AGAINST THE YPSI-ANN

Albert Meyer was awarded $3,550 damages by circuit court Wednesday in his suit against the D., Y., A. A. & J. electric road.

Meyer was a motorman on the city line and Jan. 7, his car got beyond his control on the steep grade leading to the Michigan Central depot. The car ran into the depot and Meyer was severely injured.

He sued for $25,000 on the ground that the company neglected to provide the car with sand or adequate brakes and that the tracks were slippery with ice.
