The board of public works recommended tliat the plat of J. D. Bilduh.'s additioa to the city of Aun Arbor be mcated aa recommeuded by the petltlon of the offlcers of the Co. Agricultiiral Society, Mrs. Israel Hall and E. B. Hall, which w:i3 referrcd to the street cooimittee. The board also recommendc.l that sidewalka be ordcred built on the south side of E. Washington st., in front of the preniises of Cornelia and Nancy Porter, Jiicob Hoft'jtetter. Susan Dillon and Aretus Duud. Referred to Bidewalk committee, who reported ordering the saine. W. VV. Tozer asked tlie council to refond him $17.45 tax unjustly levied for personal property. Keferreil to linnnce committee. The committee on eewerage were granted further time. Miller then moved that tlie rules be suspended and the resolution of Aid. A. F. Martin be brought before the council wliich was carried 8 to 3. Aid. Chris. Martin, Barker and President Belser opposing it. After a stormj' scone the rpsolutlon wns finnlly passed by a vote of 9 to 2, Aid. Chris. Martin and President Belser alone voting against it.
