A. L. Noble furnlshes the class caps for the senior lits. The boys of Brown Uiiiversity hayc issued a new song book. Ambitiousball players are commcncing practico for the U. of M. ninc. On Saturday evening Prof. Stanley is to give anotlier organ recital at Detroit. The path of the Glee Club has been strewn with the roses of success tliis year. The Delta Gammas are to be located in a new house on S. State st. next year. A fine rnuslcale is being prepared by the Adelphi for next week Friday eveninf. Marletta College catalogue just issued shows an attendunee of 100 students, a gain of 50 lo íive years. The baso ball nine have two games scheduled; one at Cornell on May 1G, and one at S3'racuse May 17. T. J.Wrampelmeier, lit. '78, of San Diego, Cal., is visiting i tlie city. He was forinerly an issistant in the pliarinucy department. Dr. Cl). Gatchell left Mouday for a trip to New York and Washinsrton. He tends a gapper in the formcr citjr, responding to a toast. Remember the date of the U. of M. Glee and Banjo Clubs at Universlty hall, Priday evcning, April 25lh. The boys ought, and we believe will bc üiven a rousing reception home. On Frlday next, April llth, the Enjrineers, under the cjuidance of Prof. M. E. Cooley will leave for thelr spring vacation. They will visit the large manufactories in Fittsburgh and Cleveland. AtOo'clock Frlday a. m., the private car, City of Snginaw, will pull out of tlie M. C. station here wlth the Universlty Glee and Banjo Clubs. The boys wiil be glad to have thelr friends come down and see them oil. Arrangements are being made by the Student's Ciiristian Association to have here sometime tliis montli Mr. R. S. The totnl land grants made by tlie United States for educational purposes during the llrst century of ts existence amount to over 80,000,000 acres, or 125,000 square miles, a territory greater than tlie área of Oreat Britain and Ireland, and equal to one-half the arei of France. Tlic Adelphi, who have been agitatin the piano subject since last fall, have nt last made the purchasc - a new Ilaines; handsemely finished n burl walniit. In order to christen tlieir new instrument the Society have arranged for a musieale to be given on Priday evening of vacation week (April ls). The very best masicians of tlie city, both vocal and instrumental, are to take part, and al! lovers of good music are invited to attend. The entertiiinmentgiven by the University of Wisconsin Glee and Banjo Clubs last Satnrday evening was a euccess in eveiy way. The audience was a fine onei and an appreciative one also, and the clubs jrave an excellent program. The biinjo club wbb the feature of the occasion, and Burpamed anythlng ever heard here. The Glee Clul while excellent, was not superior to the efforts of our own studcnta. The U. of W. may feel proad of tlieir clubs, however.
