In the Thirteenth Illinois district Captain Jesse Hanon was nominated for Congress on the á-tth by the ltepublicans; Harrison Kolly (Rep.) was renominatcd ín the Fimrtli Kansas district, and W. J. Dean (Pro.) was nominated in the Fourth district of Minnosota. Tue Illinois Republicans met in State convention at Sprinjrfield on the24th and nominated Franz Amborg, of Chicago, for State Troasuror, and renoiolnated Richard Edwards for Superintendent of Public Instruction. The Minnesota Prohibitionists met at SL Paul on tht 25th and nominated J. P. Pinkham, of Minneapolis, for (Jovernor; J. O. Barrett for Lieutenant-Oovernor, S. II. Hillidow for Secretary of Slate, N. R. Frost for State Treasurer, 01O Kron for State Auditor, and Robert Dodge for Attorney General. Iowa. Republieans met in convontion at Sioux City on the 25 th and nominated a State ticket with William McFarland for Secretary of State. The platform indorsos President Harrison'a Admimstration, favors just pension laws, denouncos trusts, declares aainst ompromisi! with saloon, and demanda protection for American industries.
