Our larger universities have incomes varying from $300,0000 to $900,000 a year. No one will claim that the legitÃmate work of a university that is organized in various departments can be done for less. Much more is greatly needed. It is worse than useless then for an institution with not more than a fourth, or perhaps not more than a tenth of that income, to assume the responsibility of trying to do essentially the same grade of work. - President C. K. Adams in the February Forum.
