Kitson, JÍ. ♦ - The great showman, P. T. Barnum, who has probably entertaineii more people than any other man in the world, died at his home in Bridgeport, Coun., Monday evening. He had been confined to his home several weeks. In 1849 Mr. Barnum engaged Jenny Lind to sing in America for $1,000 a night. The gross receipts from 95 concerts were $712,161.
