A Blade Of Grass

At a meeting of the Asiatic society oí Bengal, at Calcutta, a pieee of cabio was exhibited, showing that the indiarubber covering had been pierced by a blade of grass. The piereing was so complete and the contact with the copper core so perfect that "dead earth," as it is technically called, was produced and the efficiency of the cable destroyed.
