The Art Loan is :iu evcnt tliat will prove eujoyable. Aside from tlie noble cause in behalf of which it is fuiven, the people will be interested because it is to be a really fine exhibit. Lovers of art, and people of refined tastes generally, can spend deligbtful hours there. The colonial room, the Germán room, the oriental room, the art gallery and various other departments of interest will be found here. The bric-a-brac will be rare and beautifnl. The art gallery will contain fine etchings, fine paintings by the masters, and water color pictttrea done by artists possessing both reputation and ability. The oriental room will offer especial attractions. This room will be hung witli oriental draperies belonging to the U. of M. Chinese collection, but owing to lack of room in the museum, these draperies have never before been unpacked or exhibited. President Angelí generously assisted the art loan committee by placing thein at their disposal. Beside the draperies there are many other hitherto uudisplayed articles that give us new light on life and habits of our far-off oriental neighbors. It is expected that the Chinese and Japanese costumes will be exhibited, beiug sometinies worn by the attendants in the oriental room. The Loan will open May 15th in the S. C. A. building.
