Eldert spent Saturday and Sunday wit ii relativos and friends in Baginaw and ]ay City. Miss Daisy Truesdel has been entertaining Miss Catherine Jones, of Kalamazoo, as her guest. Drs. Vaughan, Breakey, Carrow anc Herdinan returned Saturday iroin tlieir trip to Washington, D. ('. James E. ('arr, of tho Dundee Re porter, was n the city Wcdnesday, and a caller at the Coubieb office. Mr. and Mrs. R. 8. Greenwood entertained Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Jolinson and children of Howell over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Munyon, of S. Fourtli ave., went to Dcfiauce, Ohio, Saturday, to attend tlie funeral of Mrs. M's sister. Dr. Charles Howell, of Alpena, t'ormorly of this city, has been the guest of his daughter, Mrs. A. C. Nichols daring the week. Col. Dean and Maj. Soule attended the banqcri of ihe Loyal Legión of Detroit, laat iday evening, Col. Dean was made a member of the executive council. Among the callers at the Coubiei sanctum last Thursday, was Stanley E Parkill, of the State Board of Pharmacy who had been in attendance upon the meeting here. Hon. J. T. Jacobs reached home Sunday p. in., from Washington, D. O. He returned via New York City, and while there attended a banquet of the loyal legión, which he enjoyed very mach.
