The value of the instruction reccivpd at these institutes is tetog very generally recognized by teachers and school officers. As a rule, it bas lxKn the ezperience of county eiaminers and other examining offtcers, that the most Buccessful teachers are those wlio availed themM'hi's of the noiinal instruction offered by these local institutes. The daily seseions of the instituto for I liis year will, as horetofore, be devoted ezclueively to topics of special Intereert to teachers, presented by persons of extended practical experience as teacher, and who have made a special stmly oí instinito work. The eveninK ecturea will bc of a popular character. The instttute law allowa teachers, lióse schools are in scssion at the time appolüted for the county institute, held under the dlrection of the state superintendent, to close their s-chools durlng the continuance of such institute without lorfi iting their wages for as many half-days as they are in h tciiilaucc ,-it the iiiwtitute. Thie provison of law, .and the fact that there Wlfl flbe no enrollment or tuition fee exncted, should insure the attendance of every teacher in the county who poswsscs tlio truc profeaslooal spirit. Full directions in regard to board, etc may be obtaiiied pon application to the local committee.
