In response to many inquiries from different seetiona of the country retary Foster haspreparèd a statement showing the amount ol various kinds of money in the United States duriñg the past thirty years. The tables accompánying the Btatment Bhow the amounta of money in the United States in the treasury and the amoun( per oapitain circulation is shown in the subjoined table: It niay surprise sotne people who are proneto carp al the currency of the I nited States to learn that thia country has more money per capita in circulation to-day than at any time i the past thirty years. But it is a fact, and a very important Eact, in the generally prosperous condition of our national affairs.
