The banquet glven by the citlzena ol Eaton Rápida to the State Society was a most happy and cheeríul conclusión of this euccessful meeting. The Austin apple, exhibited at this meeting was prcmounced the best for its geasom. I wish to correct an error I made in my November report. It was not Mr. Wilder, but Charles Downdng, the greal pomologiat, who named this apple of whieh Han. J. Austin Scott is the originator. At the January meeting of the Washtenaw Horticult viral Society, the topics wlll be: "Nut Culture," by Mr. Ganzhorn, a new and important topic which liever has been discussed here. Tlie entertainment of the next annual meeting by the. eitizens of Ann Arbor and by this society, by A. A. Crozier. Rértewing the lessons of the past season by W. F.
