During the week ended on the 16th the leading clearing houses in the United States reported exehanges amounting to $1,031,364,527, against $1,158,384,853 the preyious week. As compared with the corresponding week of 1892 the decrease was 9.6. Many houses were blown down at Valdosta and Thomasville, Ga., during a tornado. There were 313 business failures reported in the United States during the seven days ended on the 16th.
