The High School Department of the Epwo-rth Trague, spent Thursday eveming, Jan. 25;at the parlors of the M. E. church. Out o.f a membership of 50, but eleven iaïled to be present. Each boy had read some cholee poem and each girl brought a quotation from one. The best quotation was voted to be one from ''The Legend Beautiful," and the prize was given to Miss Cora Crandall. The evening closed with a business meeting which brought out some interesting reports. Every member of the Department is a member oi the Sunday School, and it al.so furnishes a number of workers for the lllssio.n Schools of the city, among them being officers, teachers and onO superintendent. The ushering for the Sunday evening Teague meetings has been entirely under the management oí this Department. Twnty of its members have united wtth the church since Dee. 17, and tbere u-e now but ten ''assoeiate" ])i"mle:-s. A letter was read ackiiowlcdging the recelpt of a Christmas box which had been sent to the Detroit Deaconess' Home, and five dollars was voted for the church Missiomary colleciion. At ten o'clock the meeting adjourned until some Thursday evening of next month.
