The pure. sweet voice of the soprano rose cleariy and disiinet.Iy in the solo: ' They toi-oi-oil uot, The'y toil not, They toil not, Ny-y-y-ther do they spin." She paused, and the tenor took up the strain. " Nee-ee-ee-ther do they spin." They toi-oi-oi-oil uot, They toil not. They toil not, Nee-ee-ee-ther do they spin." The tenor ceased, and the bas'so.asolemn, red haired young man with a somewhat worldly looking eye and a voice like a fog horn, brok'e in: " Nay-ay-ay-ay-tlierdo they spin, They toi-oi-oi-oil not, They toil not, Thev tnil nnt. Nay-ay-ay-ay-ther do tlicy spin." Then the volees of the three were lifted up in semi-chorus : " Ny-y-y-ther ) " Nee-ee-ee-ther do they spin. " Xay-ay-ay-ther ) They toi-oi-oi-oil not, They toü not, They toil not, Ny-y-y-ther ) Nee-ee-ee-ther do they spin." Kay-ay-av-ther ) There is in the sou] a symüathy with sounds, And ;is the mind h pltcb'd, thu car is pleas'd. Some chord in unisón witli what we hear Is touch'd witbin us, and the beart replies.
