Beal, dropped in at Mr. Davi-'Oii's home that evening and in behaJf of the offieers reininded him that it was lii.s 53d hirtlKlay, and left the ring as a memento of tJie event, and a testimonial of the esteeni and affection of hi ba others for htm. Mr. Davison was completely svurprised but as he never allows himself to be taken off hls f eet, he managed to say a few feeliing -words in reply.
