1 OFFICIAL.] Regular Session. Called to order by Pres. Keech. Roll called. PreseDt Messrs. Keeeh and Clark. Absent, Mr. Schuh. Minutes of the pi'evious meeting read and approved, The petition of Geo. V. Bullis, whieh was referred to the Board of Public "Works by the Common Council, asking for a plan how to take care of the water that accumulates ia the vicinity of Washtenaw and South University Avenues, was referred to the City Attorney and City Engineer for a report and plans. Mr. Xorris appeared for Mrs. Jolly before the Board, asking permission to cut Washington street for the puipose of connecting with the High School sewer, provided permission was granted by the School Board. By Mr. Clark: Resolved, That Mis. Blanehe Jolly be allowed to cut Washington street for the puipose of connecting with the high school sewer, provided pernrission is given her by the School Board of District No. 1, and that permission for connecting with the high school sewer does not exempt Mrs. Jolly from the lateral sewer tax. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Leach and Clark. City Engineer Key asked for au assistant engineer so as to expedite 1 ters as to work laid outby the Common Council as to building lateral sewers. Mr. Clark moved tbat we invite tlie Sevver Committee of the Council to be present at a special meeting of this Board to be held Tuesday evening, June 21, at 7:30 o'clock sliarp, í'or the purpose of considering the matter as to employing in assistant engineer. Adopted as follows: Yeas- Messrs. Keech and Clark. OnmotioH the President and Clerk of the Board of Public Works were ordered to conclude a contract with Koch Brothers for the coustruction of the end of the Fountain street culvert. The Sidevvalk Inspector íeported that he liad personally inspected the sidewalks which had not as yet been construeted: On Observatory Street, west side, in front of the property of Mis. Sarah Wilson; Mrs. Alice Grant; Mis. Julia A. Street; Mrs. Miranda A. Jenkins and Miss Sylvia Smith. on Broadway, northerly side, in front of the property of Isaac Greenman; Chas. Neithammer; Isaac Dunn; W. Whitlark and Hughes and Ferris; on Fuller street in front of the property of Harvey Cornvvell; on E. Catherine street along the property of Wm. R. Stevens and Mis. Hogers. On motion the report was received and ordered liled, and the Street Commisüioner ordered to take the necessary steps to build the walks. Aid. Snyder appeared before the Board and stated that it was a public necessity to pave the glitter on the east side of Gott street from Summit street. The matter was referred toMr. Clark and the Street Commissioner. On motion the Board adiourned.
