Anolherleading feature will be the Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc, by the Sleur Louis de Conte, Her Page and Secretary, nnder which guise the most popularof living American magazine wrtters will present the story of the Maid ol Urleaus. In the January number will appear a pi'olusely illusirated paper on CHARLESTON a.nd the Carolinas, the flist of series of Southern Papers. Northern África is attracting more attention than at any uiher time since it was the seat of einpires. The next volume of HARPER'S MAGAZINE will coutaiu four illustrated arlicles on this región, and three of them will depic. present lile there. Julián Ralph will prepare for the magazine a series ol eight stories, depicting typical phases of Chinese Life and Mtinuers.
