Edward Clark, passecl t.o ler eterna] rest, because of uld age, having reached 87 years, 9 niontlis and 4 days, ahnost 88." Mrs. Clark liad been in feeble liealth for a long time, being cared for by her only sou OW living Edward Clark. In the deatb of this estimable lady there passes away One of the links that bound this present to the early days of this place. Her husband, Gen. Clark, was appointed register oí deeds for Washtenaw county by Gov. Mason as early as 1835, when this county ineluded all the counties now surrounding it nearly, and in 1843 he was agent here for the Jf. C. R. R. She was married in 1841 to Gen. Clark, and had resided here ever since, taking part in the growth md development of the county.
