Abram J. DePuy, who was a member of Co. C 20th regiment U. S. colored volunteer infantry during the war, died to-day at 1 o'clock, at the home of his daugliter, Mrs. Spencer Crawford, No. 53 ÏT. Fifth ave. He was up town yesterday, and on his way home was taken with a sinking spell. He was carried to lus daughter's home and died this noon. Funeral services will be held Friday p. ra. at 2 o'clock from the 2d Baptist church. The deceased was 70 years of ae and well known about the city. The old gentleman, was very much respected in the community, but he had one peculiarity. When he was sober he was a good republiean in politics, but when "lull of cawn juuse," he was a rabid democrat, and he was sure to get "fuU'r before he voted on election day.
