Mr. H. look charge of the stock as manager of Ihe Toledo Grocery Co., who, he claims, bO'Ught the stock of Chadman for cash ; the latter claiming to be the owner and that the stock bought was paid for. Chadman then disappearod. "Within ithe laat two days, three agonts ïrO'in wholesale houses of Toled Jia"O been in town looking for Gluutaa.n, stating that the goods had bsenb'ou.aht wboHy oai credit. "Mr. Hooper although an innocent pairchaser is as anxious to find Chadmaai'as the ■vholesalei-s. For this purpose DiO Avent to Elmore Thui-sday an.diw.as told by Mirs. Chadman that lio wais in the extreme eastern part of the state while the facts were'he was; in Bryan. "Chadman left Ann Aibor. Jlich. last February nbout as suddanly and for a.bout the name reason that he left Swanton." It must have been a mistake about Mr. Chadman leavlng this city for a-ny (wich cause, for he and his wife were liero visiting only a short time ago.
