The regenta continned in session Fiïla}r afternoon and today. Considerable business was transacted. The question of combining the cbairs of urgery and anatomy in the medical lepartment came up and was discussed t leugth. The vote on the question vas against combination o to 2. Au appropriation of $271 was made to )uy tools for the engine house. Five ïundred dollars was allowed for a set of cales to weigh coal at the boiler house. C. H. Williams, Ph, C, '94, was made issistant in the chemical laboratory at a alary of $300. He will do a part of the vork of Instrucier J. O. Schlottsrbeck, vhile the latter is in Europe next year. The budget as presented at theFebruary neeting was passed a's published atthat ime in the Courier. J. W. Glover was appointed instructor in mathematics at i salary of $900. The following animal appointments for the medical department were made : A. S. Warthin, M. I)., instructer in athology, $900; ï. L. Chadbourne, lemonstrator in theory aud practice, 1300 ; J.Foster,demonstrator in ophthalnology, .$300; C. D. A. Wright, assistnt in same, no salaiy; E. A. Murbach, einonstrator in nervous diseases, $300 ; . J. Flynn, assistant in sanie, no alary; F. W. Nagler.instructorinsame, ;900; J. L. Lynds. demonstrator in bsteihcs, $300; J. W. Foley, assistant n saine, no pay; S. il. Yutzy, instrucr in anatomy, $1,000: A. J. Speel, H. . Van Tuyl and Xute, assistants i same, .$200 eaoi. ; A. P. Rooney, ssistant in histology, $300; S. A. Matievs, assistant in materica medica, 300 ; C. G. Crozier, aseistant in physilogy, $300. The board adjoumed until this moriiig- At the meeting this moraing little )usiness was transacted. A resolution ■as passed forbidding carrying chairs ito the aisles of University hall duricg oncerts, for the reason that the custom ould be daugerous iu case of fire and is contrary to law. Tlie board adourned until June 10.
