'Témale diseases" is a term which lias come, by constant use, to be applied to all of that very distressiug class of affections which are peculiar to the female organista. At least three causes should be recognized. The cause which is perhaps most frequent is misplacement of the womb. The second cause is congestión of one or more of the pelvic passages. The third cause is known as inflammation or ulceration. Pe-rn-na should be taken in tablespoonful doses before each meal in all varieties and stages of the disease. This dose should be gradually increased after several weeks' use of it to two tablespoonfuls. Yiginal injections should be taken three time each day, two or three quarts at each injection.
