Cure For Small Pox. We have been requested to publish the following receipt for tho cure of small pox or scarlet fever, sent to tlie Stockton Herald, Cal., by a correspondent, who writes as follows : "I lierewithappend a receipt which i has been used to niy knowledge in dreds of cases. It will prevent or cure sinall pox, tliough the pittings are íilling. When Jenner discovered eow pox in England, the world of scieuce hurled an avalancha of faino upon liis head but when the worst scientific school of medicine in the world- that of Paris- published the receipt as a panacea for small pox it passed nnheeded. It is as sure as fate and conquers in every instance. It is harmless when taken by a well person. It will also cure scarlel EeVer. ilere is the receipt as I have it to cure my children of scarlet fever. Here it is as I have used it to euro small pox. When learned physicians saia tiie patiënt mast die, it cured : Sulphate of zinc, one grain: fox-glove (digitalis),one grain; half a teaspoonfull ofsugar; mix with two tablespoonfula of water. When thoroughly mixed add four ouuees of water. Take a spoonful ovcrv hour. Either diseases will disappear in twelve baars. For a child, smaller doses aceording to their age. If counties would compel their physicians to use this, there would be no need of pest houses. If you valué advice and experieuce, use this for that terrible disease."
